A visit to Braehead will provide you
with a truly extraordinary experience.
You'll be hard pushed to find a more
convenient, safe and welcoming destination
anywhere in Scotland with such a fantastic
mix of shops, restaurants and leisure
facilities.
At Braehead you'll
enjoy a fantastic day out for all
the family - a day that's truly out
of the ordinary. With over 100 of
the UK's top high street names including
Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury's,
Boots, Woolworths and Next, you'll
be spoiled for choice.
Our leisure facilities
are outstanding with numerous cafes
and restaurants and a public ice
skating rink. Our leisure offer also
boasts an eight sheet curling rink,
a 4000 seat international arena, riverside
boardwalk and Maritime Heritage
Centre.
Our bright, breezy malls are spacious
and clean, with easy access for wheelchairs,
pushchairs and prams. Parking is no
problem with 6500 FREE spaces in easily
laid out colour-coded car parks surrounding
the centre.
Children couldn't be more welcome at
Braehead where we provide a children's
playgroup, Tiny Taxis, baby changing
facilities and a children's play park.
To the rear of the leisure mall, adjacent
to the River Clyde, is our spectacular
Riverside Boardwalk complete with seating
areas, viewing platform and Clydebuilt
- the Maritime Heritage Centre.
Clydebuilt - Braehead's own Maritime
Heritage Centre - traces the history
of the world famous river over 300 years
from the early days of the tobacco lords
through its shipbuilding heyday right
up to the present day. While you're
there, try your hand as a 17th Century
trader, load your own cargo or have
a go at piloting a Clyde ship with our
special hands on displays. Don't forget
to visit MV Kyles, the oldest Clyde
built ship still afloat in the UK, which
is now permanently moored on the River
Clyde at Braehead
